My Challenge for Democrats
Will we have vision? Or will we have fear?
Note: I don’t often wade into party politics, but this time, I can’t help myself.
Standing to the left of center politically, I’ve experienced the last few months as a version of a political and cultural horror show. While Trump, MAGA, and Project 2025 dismantle the democratic institutions that have made America truly great for 250 years, many of us look on frozen in fear or dumbfounded at the awfulness or overwhelmed by the strategy of “flooding the zone.” Only half of the horror show is perpetrated by Trump and MAGA. The other half, and the most discouraging half, is that dazed look in the eyes of Democrats.
