If we do not solve climate change, we will not have to worry about environmental problems like this because humanity will be brought to its knees, and this is coming fast. We have all kinds of toxic sites around the world, and while they are abhorrent, they do not threaten humanity in the same way. Site specific pollution has answers that climate change does not enjoy. The fact of mining and processing metals is not a reason to stop doing what we need to do to solve this problem.
