I love looking at your plot, the planning, the green shoots, the protection from deer. Four years ago ( when I was 63!) we bought a 16 acre small holding in the Southwest of the UK, and we now have a ground source heat pump, 24 solar panels, a 10,000 litre water tank, two green houses and an evergrowing vegetable garden. I am right there with you. ❤️
I am headed the same direction Jane! My next big project is going to be ground source cooling. Here in northern Wisconsin, we know how to handle winter and cold. But summer heat is getting worse, and a cooling project that does not require the grid is important. When stressed, our grid goes out.
I can relate. The one thing I can do is grow food, so that's what I'm doing.
I hope to share some other ideas too, Tree. But food growing is great.
I talk about "defending the joy" during these times and that's what you're doing. Thank you.
Defending the joy is what we have to do Rebecca. Thank you. It’s hard in these times, but let all keep trying!
